We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a new facility — the hydro laboratory at the NOY Training Center.
The hydro laboratory is a high-tech facility featuring a massive tank measuring 15×30 meters and 8 meters deep, filled with 5,000 tons of specially prepared water maintained at 30°C. Thanks to its physical properties, the water creates an effect that closely simulates weightlessness, allowing for the modeling of outer space conditions.
On the underwater platform, designed to support loads of up to 80 tons, will be placed models of spacecraft and key modules of NOY for training and research purposes. The entire infrastructure is tailored to specific missions, with safety ensured by professional scuba divers and modern equipment.
The experience of diving underwater almost entirely mimics weightlessness in space, making the hydro laboratory a unique platform for training specialists and conducting scientific research.
“This hydro laboratory will be the first accessible venue for experiments and research, both for space startups and high-tech companies. We are proud to have the opportunity to attract top experts from Russia and around the world. Together, we will make space more accessible and understandable for private companies and scientists,” said Dmitry Antonyсhev, founder of NOY.
